Who the heck is the Eagle?
Good Question. I am the official logo of
America's Master Handyman, Glenn Haege.
I am a somewhat overweight, but a very handsome Bald Eagle wearing
a hard hat and tool belt, and carrying a circular saw. When you
see me on my official logo shield I am saluting, the word "America's"
is above my head, and the words "Master Handyman" are
below my claws. My official colors are red, white and (what else?)
blue. The logo shield is sometimes signed by the boss, Glenn
Haege.
The logo shield appears on official Master Handyman Press, Inc. books, publications like the Ameritech Yellow Pages Home Improvement Guide, letterhead, signs and on this web site. You may also see me on shirts, umbrellas, and various other paraphernalia. Although America's Master Handyman, Glenn Haege, recommends hundreds
of products and services for solving specific problems, he does
not endorse any of them. He is not paid for recommending any

At the beginning of his broadcast career, Glenn decided that he would rather be a spokesman for the home improvement and hardware industries than for any company, group of companies or products.
This may have cost him a great deal of money over the years. However, the decision was necessary so that you the listener, reader, and web surfer, do not have to worry that he is saying nice things about a product for money. When Glenn recommends a product or service, it is because he honestly believes that it is the proper solution for a specific question.

An answer you heard Glenn give really helped and you want to say "Atta boy, Glenn. Thanks." Letters like that makes his day. They also impress potential advertisers and radio station program directors.
You have information you think that Glenn should know so that he can inform his listeners and readers.
The squeaking wheel gets the grease. Although letters aren't answered, they are tallied. If we receive 1,000 questions about a specific roofing problem in a given week, a few roofing tips are sure to be added to the tip page. A roofing industry expert might get invited to be on Glenn's show. Glenn might write an article about it in the newspapers or create special radio tips for our affiliate stations.

Would it help if I sent house plans or photos with my letters?
Not a good idea.
Unfortunately they will just be thrown away with your letter,
not returned. If you are going to see Glenn at a home show or
one of his many personal appearances around the country, bring
all the information you can.

No. Bad idea.
Glenn wishes you the best of success with your invention. He
has no clout with manufacturers or financial people and could
not help you bring your idea to fruition. If you send it to us,
the package will probably just wind up in the wastebasket. Once
it's in the trash its fair game and anyone could steal your idea.
Play it safe. Show your ideas only to your closest advisors and
a good patent attorney before you go looking for a manufacturer.
I have a brand new home improvement product that is just going into national distribution. Can I send Glenn a sample and/or a press release?
Great idea.
Glenn loves to tell his listeners and readers about
new cutting edge technology. If Glenn likes the
concept he may ask for test samples and see how people like
using the product. Until he knows it works and that you really
do have national distribution, he probably won't talk about it.
